Overview
PAYG Solutions provides cloud based technology, coupled with mobile phone applications to ensure that essential information can be transmitted by, and is available to, all system users via mobile phones, irrespective of where they are located. These solutions are of particular relevance in developing markets and rural areas, where typically communications are limited. Our core system – kopesha – provides a cloud-based CRM product, with handset functionality for both customers and employees and 'bolt-ons' that can be custom developed to suit the individual business needs.
The first of our products to be marketed was for the MFI (Micro Finance Industry). Our MFI product provides solutions which are attractive to both Developing and Developed Markets. By combining cloud and mobile phone technology, we provide an integrated suite of products for Customers, MFIs and Partners, allowing them to use both mobile phones and the internet to update and access all relevant loan information. A series of interfaces enable integrated disbursements and loan payment facilities linking payments and disbursements to mobile wallets and pre-paid debit cards. Built using the latest Microsoft (.net SOA / SQL 2008) and Java technology, even the most basic mobile phones can be used by customers to query their accounts, whereas more sophisticated mobiles can run J2ME and internet applications to provide a more comprehensive range of features.
To date our core product has been extended to provide the following solutions:
- Agricultural solutions to enable delivery details to be recorded at collection points, in the field, or at coffee / cotton / cocoa mills
- Recording details of orphans and vulnerable children by field workers
- International 'send goods home' - migrant workers buy vouchers which are SMSd to their loved ones and can be exchanged locally for essential goods
- Catering for product loans (distribution of solar products, clean burning stoves, seed, animal feed and fertiliser)
- We continue to discuss new and innovative ways in which our core product can be modified to provide mobile solutions, which are only recently made possible by the mobile network infrastructure that is being rolled out in developing economies and the widespread take-up of mobile phones throughout the world.
